The ark files is a seminar about the Ark of the Covenant. There will be new episodes of the seminar frequently uploaded throughout 2010 and 2011. All of the topics are related to the Ark of the Covenant beginning with a “basic” introduction on this first episode. The seminar-holder has written two books on this topic however only the first book has been translated into English. These seminar contains a lot of the material from the second book. The seminar will explore all the aspects around the Biblical ark all the way to the book of revelation and the mention of it there. It will also look into the claim that it has been found.The last decade many have claimed to have found it or know of it’s whereabouts. Has it really and how can we know who is telling the truth? Can the Bible expose the “fake” claims?

    I found this piece of history concerning Julian the apostate in wilkipedia which relates to an attempt to rebuild a third temple.

    In 363, not long before Julian left Antioch to launch his campaign against Persia, in keeping with his effort to foster religions other than Christianity, he ordered the Temple rebuilt.[115] A personal friend of his, Ammianus Marcellinus, wrote this about the effort:

    Julian thought to rebuild at an extravagant expense the proud Temple once at Jerusalem, and committed this task to Alypius of Antioch. Alypius set vigorously to work, and was seconded by the governor of the province; when fearful balls of fire, breaking out near the foundations, continued their attacks, till the workmen, after repeated scorchings, could approach no more: and he gave up the attempt.

    The failure to rebuild the Temple has been ascribed to the Galilee earthquake of 363, and to the Jews’ ambivalence about the project. Sabotage by Christians is a possibility, as is an accidental fire. Divine intervention was the common view among Christian historians of the time.

  2. Thank you for sharing your research on this topic. Very interesting!

    “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among (Strongs H8432, tavek) them.” ~ Exodus 25 : 8

    “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within (Strongs H8432, tavek) my heart.” ~ Psalm 40 : 8

    The first piece of the ‘sanctuary’ described by God to Moses — beginning 2 verses later in Exodus 25:10 — is the ‘Ark’.

    God’s ‘law’ was placed, NOT ‘among’, but ‘within’, that ‘Ark’.

    Was the ‘law’ of God ‘among’ the heart of the person speaking in Psalm 40 : 8 ? . . . of course not.
    So why translate the Hebrew word ‘tavek’ as ‘among’ instead of ‘within’ in Exodus 25 : 8 ?

    “And when He (Jesus) was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come,
    He answered them and said,
    ‘The kingdom of God cometh not with observation :
    Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is WITHIN you.’ ” ~ Luke 17 : 20-21

    The Greek word translated correctly as ‘within’ (you) in verse 21 is ‘entos’.
    So the ‘law’ of God WITHIN the ‘Ark’ represents the ‘dwelling’ presence (Exodus 25 : 8) and therefore the ‘law’ (Psalm 40 : 8) of God within the ‘heart’ of an individual human ‘place of the skull’, or ‘mind’. And since the ‘Ark’ also represented the Throne-Footstool, on Earth, of God’s Throne , in Heaven , (“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?” ~ Isaiah 66 : 1) then the ‘heart’ of each individual human ‘mind’ is potentially the ‘Jerusalem’-center of the kingdom of God — the ruling power of God — ‘within you’, just as Jesus told the Pharisees, and as Luke recorded it.

    Now, Ron Wyatt was a good Seventh-day Adventist who did the correct thing by going to his own church leaders to ask for help in spreading the good news about his re-discoveries of Biblical sites and artifacts, just as he was beginning his research and search for the ‘Ark’ representing the ‘heart’ of an individual from which God may rule his ‘kingdom’ ‘within’ them.
    Then SDA leaders abused Ron’s trust, greatly.

    Alonzo Trevier Jones was also a good Seventh-day Adventist who did the correct thing by going to his own church leaders to ask for help in spreading the good news about his re-discoveries of Biblical truth regarding the Kingdom of God ‘within you’. Alonzo appealed to his own church leaders for their help, repeatedly, at least from 1888 until 1897,
    but they abused Alonzo’s trust, greatly.

    Yet, both Ron Wyatt, and Alonzo Jones were in agreement in their focus on the ‘Ark’-‘heart’ of God’s kingdom ‘within you’, though they did their work nearly a century apart in time. Here is what Jones preached to SDA leaders in 1895 :

    Jones :
    “There is gospel, there is Christian experience, for us today in Leviticus, in Deuteronomy, in Genesis, in Exodus, and in the whole Bible. But when we read those passages and say that those sacrifices and offerings all pointed to Christ afar off from the Jews and expect that the Jews were to look through these services away off yonder to Christ to come sometime—when we read those scriptures and look at them that way, then we are reading those scriptures precisely as the Jews did and we are standing precisely where they did at that time in those scriptures.” {GCB/GCDB 1895, p. 476.2}

    “That will never do. No. We are not to look at the sanctuary with its furniture and paraphernalia standing as God placed it, with God’s presence therein, and think that signified to them that they were to learn by it that God dwelt only in the sanctuary in heaven. When we look at it that way, then we are ready to think that that is about as near as He is to us, because that is as near as we have had Him come to them. For if we look at it for them in that way, then if we had been there in their places, how would we have looked at it for ourselves? In the same way, and this shows that had we been there we would have been precisely as they were.” {GCB/GCDB 1895, p. 476.3}

    “The tendency is, even with us, to read of the sanctuary and its services and God dwelling in the sanctuary and the text, “Make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them,” and say, Yes, God dwelt among them in the sanctuary and that pointed to the sanctuary that is in heaven and the time is coming when God will dwell with His people again, for He says of the new earth, “Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and God will dwell with them and be their God and they shall be his people.” So when the new earth comes God is going to dwell with His people again. But where is God now? That is what we want to know. What matters it to me that He is going to dwell with His people on the new earth? What matters all this, if He does not dwell with me now? For if He cannot dwell with me now, it is certain that He never can dwell with me on the new earth nor anywhere else, for He has no chance. What I want to know and what every soul needs to know is, Does He dwell with me now? If we put Him away back yonder in the days of the Jews and then put Him away off on the new earth, what does that do for us now? How does that give Him to men now? In that way, how is He with us now? That is what we need constantly to study.” {GCB/GCDB 1895, p. 476.4}

    . . . Jones preached these words, and more like them, at the assembled 1895 General Conference of SDAs less than a year before Theodor Herzl published ‘The Jewish State’ (1896) outlining the ‘secular’ ‘ruling’-model for the modern State of Israel, after observing anti-Semitism developments in Europe, resulting from the French ‘Dreyfus Affair’. . . if SDA leaders had only done the right thing and helped Alonzo Jones to spread the Good News of this ‘Kingdom of God’ ‘within you’, then Jesus could have returned to receive His own, from throughout all peoples, long before any ‘Jewish Holocaust’, and very likely before WW I, even. . . nope.
    Instead, key leading SDAs opposed such Ideas, and did what they could to keep them from spreading, instead of helping to publish them to their own church, and to the world.

    So, now, not even the SDA church of Alonzo Jones and Ron Wyatt (nor Ron Wyatt’s friends and family, apparently) were prepared in the early 2000s, when news began to be publicized in magazine, newspaper and internet articles regarding the specific location deep within the right side of every individual human brain where morality — love–hate, trust–distrust, guilt–at-one-ment, pride–humility, lust–disgust, . . . indignation — and physical pain, and the ‘psychic pain’ of being shunned (as in Psalm 22’s, ” My God ! My God ! Why have you forsaken me ? ! ” , which Jesus sang out from upon the cross above the ‘Ark’.) are all dealt with.

    This long-hidden brain cortex is also involved with the Loss Of volitional Behavioral Response (LOBR) during the application of anesthesia, such as Ron Wyatt used, repeatedly, to fund his archaeology ‘hobby’ involving the ‘Ark’ deep within the right side of the place of the skull. It is in charge of the ‘inner man’ (including visceral organs like the ‘heart’) of Psalm 51, and deals with ‘intero-ception’, as opposed to the outer brain lobes, which handle ‘extero-ception’ . . . .

    One leading research scientist — Dr. Arthur ‘Bud’ Craig — summed it up nicely in a 2010 Before Its News online article, describing this deeply-hidden brain lobe as being
    ‘the center of all human behavior, and possibly of consciousness, itself’
    . . . but, still, no one — not SDA leaders, not SDA ‘1888’ enthusiasts, not Ron Wyatt’s family, nor his friends — cares to help publicize the good news of this truly new discovery regarding the ‘heart’, the ‘soul temple’, the ‘Ark’-footstool . . . located deep within the right side of every human brain-scape from which God chooses to rule His kingdom ‘within you’.

    There is no need for any human to ever fight over ownership of a mere Jerusalem ‘landscape’, when each of us already owns the ‘brainscape’ which that ‘Jerusalem’ (‘teaching of peace’, or at-one-ment with God) merely represents in ‘parable’-fashion. The question remains to be answered, will we surrender that piece of brainscape to God to be His own dwelling place and footstool from which to rule our behavior from ‘within you’, just where Jesus described the Kingdom of God to truly be ?

    Ellen Gould White, wrote :
    “In the cleansing of the temple, Jesus was announcing His mission as the Messiah, and entering upon His work. That temple, erected for the abode of the divine Presence, was designed to be an object lesson for Israel and for the world. From eternal ages it was God’s purpose that every created being, from the bright and holy seraph to man, should be a temple for the indwelling of the Creator. Because of sin, humanity ceased to be a temple for God. Darkened and defiled by evil, the heart of man no longer revealed the glory of the Divine One. But by the incarnation of the Son of God, the purpose of Heaven is fulfilled. God dwells in humanity, and through saving grace the heart of man becomes again His temple. God designed that the temple at Jerusalem should be a continual witness to the high destiny open to every soul. But the Jews had not understood the significance of the building they regarded with so much pride. They did not yield themselves as holy temples for the Divine Spirit. The courts of the temple at Jerusalem, filled with the tumult of unholy traffic, represented all too truly the temple of the heart, defiled by the presence of sensual passion and unholy thoughts. In cleansing the temple from the world’s buyers and sellers, Jesus announced His mission to cleanse the heart from the defilement of sin,—from the earthly desires, the selfish lusts, the evil habits, that corrupt the soul. “The Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver.”
    Malachi 3:1-3. {DA 161.1}
