Do we still have to keep the original Ten commandments found in the Ark of the Covenant?

Peter said about the apostle’s Pauls writings:

Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 

2Pe 3:15-16 

What was it that unlearned interpret to their own destruction? Many are unlearned in God’s atoning system as laid out in the example in the Sanctuary and the law. Therefore it appears to them that God’s moral law is no longer valid as a law in God’s kingdom and among God’s servants here on earth.

In the law or Torah, there were different sets of laws.

The Moral Laws

First, it was the main moral law: the ten commandments.

It was followed by a supplement of other laws, many that just explained the main law.

For instance, the moral law said that you should not commit adultery. The other laws explain what God perceives as fornication. As people of different generations and cultures will have different perceptions, God had to specify. 

Sex with someone who isn’t your spouse while married, sex with someone else’s husband or wife, sex with family members, animals, with the same gender, and so on.
These laws were necessary for people to not make up the meaning of the commandment themselves, but to let God decide His own meaning with His own law.

The commandments thou shalt have no other gods than Him, and not to make idols are also specified in the other laws against idolatry. Here God specified that contacting the dead, to make self-made gods, to worship nature elements etc . God also says the commandment against making images included making images of God Himself, not just of other gods, but of Him. They were not to depict Him. Sorcery, astrology and even a rebellious spirit are considered idol worship after God’s explanation. So all these laws just explained the principles of the moral law.

And that was their purpose, if you did away with them you would remove the knowledge of how to keep the ten commandments correctly.

Then you had a set of health laws. They were to sanctify the people, keep their moral high, and keep them strong and healthy.

The Bible was specific to what laws were punishable with death. It was the moral laws and many of the laws explaining it. Why is this important? Because this is the laws God uses to judge mankind and why we need Jesus to atone our sins for us. If there isn’t a law broken, there is no need for punishment or atonement. If there is no law broken there was no need for Jesus.

Blood was carried into the holiest place over the Ark that contained the law that had been broken, and the other laws also there on the side of the Ark.

The Ceremonial laws

The other important set of laws were ceremonial laws. These were all the laws concerning the atonement for breaking the other laws. It contained the rules, ceremonies connected to the sacrifices, the priest’s roles, and so on.

It is the lack of understanding of the difference between the laws that have lead people to misunderstand the writing of Paul.

This is what has created so much confusion, and the devil has helped cause this confusion of course by having his minister pretending to be the ministers of Christ (Act_20:29; 2Co 11:13; Jud_1:4 ).

And this is why the “man of sin” is said to “sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” (2Th 2:4). It is because God’s enemy tries to make his false teachers leaders and judges over God’s people to mislead and misguide the followers of Christ. Paul said: “Don’t you know that you are the temple of God” (1Co.3:16) The man of sin is therefore a Christian leader that leads people astray. He sits as a leader in God’s temple, His church, which is why Paul warned God’s people to not be fooled.

The moral law defines sin but has no remedy against the breaking of it. It cannot save you or pardon you. If you have broken the law there is nothing the law can do to help you. Even if you after having broken the law keep it, it doesn’t blot away the time you broke it. You can not atone a sin by doing a good deed.

The moral laws never competed with Christ’s sacrifice because they had no remedy to offer. It has no atonement. This law could only do one thing to the transgressor, point people to the sacrificial, or ceremonial laws as a remedy.

So when the ceremonial laws were replaced with Christ’s sacrifice, this law now pointed to Christ and not to the ceremonial law which now was dead. All the law could tell you is that you were a transgressor, that you were under condemnation, and that you had to go somewhere else for redemption.

It was the ceremonial or sacrificial laws that competed with Christ in the time of the apostles and Paul. The temple was standing, and jews had literally rejected Christ, the lamb of God their remedy, to instead continue traditions that only pointed to Christ. They thought that these laws themselves really could atone their sins and not what they symbolized. They thought they didn’t need the son of God to die for them, for they had sheep, lambs, and oxen to do that, which they believed was accepted by God as an atonement for sins. Or their cleaning rituals, that these rituals could actually clean them from sin. 

And so the first converted jews struggled to teach people otherwise. And remember, it wasn’t just jews that had a sacrificial system, the pagans did too. The idea that you would bring an atoning offer to please the gods after violating their rules where the heart of idolatry as well. But in God’s system, who first introduced the idea of atoning sacrifice, it was just to point to the mission of the Messiah that would come and save mankind. It pointed to God’s sacrifice to save man, not man’s sacrifice to save themselves. The sacrifice was not to be their gift to God, it was God’s gift to man. People’s conception of the sacrificial laws had been for a long time misunderstood and taught and practiced wrongly both among Jews and pagans. And understanding the difference between the sacrificial systems and Christ’s sacrifice was important to address. The idolaters were far from the truth in their sacrificial systems but the jews had their system straight from God. Still, many didn’t understand they were practical lessons of the plan of salvation. Instead, they thought the lessons themselves could save.

What the Jews had could not save them, it never could. The two, the sacrificial and ceremonial laws could not exist together with Christ’s sacrifice. The shadowy lessons were trying to steal the limelight with the original. Paul explained that this system was replaced by what they prophesied of, Christ as priest and sacrifice, the sanctuary in heaven where Christ would minister for our sake. There was no salvation in these ceremonial laws. It’s like the sun and the moon. The moon lights up in the darkness, but it has no light on its own. The light we see from the moon is really just the moon reflecting light from the sun. So it’s really the sun lighting up the night sky through the moon and not the moon itself. In the same way, Christ’s sacrifice was to shine on people before He died on the cross, the moon here symbolizes the earthly sanctuary system. These rituals had no light on its own, its source of light was from the sanctuary in heaven and without it would have no light just as with the moon and the sun. So when Moses built the sanctuary on earth it was after a pattern. (Exo.25:40; Heb.8:5)  So when the jews rejected Christ’s sacrifice and priestly ministry it was as if I would claim the moon has light in itself independent of the sun and that the sun did not exist and was not needed. This imagery is used by God in the book of Revelation where when Christ’s birth is shown the woman, the church, is clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet. Perfectly showing the transition of God’s church from the old covenant and to the new covenant. When you have the sun in the daytime you do not need the moon to shine anymore. You only need the moon to shine in the darkness, and darkness was before the gospel of God was made known through Christ. And a lesser light shone in the darkness through the earthly sanctuary entrusted to Israel. The hope of atonement and peace with God came through the shadowy symbols while mankind was still in ignorance. But when Christ came and died for us, God’s plan to save us was lighting up the world, no longer a mystery. The moon reflects only between 3 and 12 percent of the sunlight that hits it. In the same way, the light through the sacrificial system before Christ coming was in parts and didn’t show everything. Nor did it reach the multitudes. But when Christ died God’s plan of redemption lid up the entire world.

“Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever”
Rom 16:25-27

Although the sanctuary prophecized of God’s plan of salvation, there were secrets of the atonement that was kept until Christ came.

But again this shadowy system was not God’s moral law. God’s moral law was not the moon reflecting another law. It was the ceremonial and sacrificial laws that reflected the plan of salvation and were to pass. The moral law continued its position as before.

So let us summaries:

God’s moral laws – The standard for God’s kingdom, reveals the sinner but cannot save the sinner.
God’s ceremonial and sacrificial laws – Was an atonement for having broken the moral laws.

The latter was replaced by the priestly service of Christ, the moral law now pointed to Christ as the remedy and not the sacrificial laws.

In the book of Hebrews, it is repeated that the sanctuary and its service is just a copy of Christ’s work. It shows what Christ is doing for us in heaven. The animal blood was replaced with his, the priestly service with Christ priestly service, the temple on earth with the one in heaven. And so it continued, and the earthly system retired. “The moon” had lost its task of “reflecting sunlight” at the arrival of the day. But the moral laws had to remain or Christ’s work would have no purpose. It was because of the breaking of the moral laws we needed a Saviour and we need a priest in the temple in heaven. Without it, there is no need for atonement. So if you remove the moral laws, you remove the purpose of Christ priestly ministry. You remove the temple in heaven. You remove judgment day as well as salvation.

The blood doesn’t remove the law, it removes our punishment. Or as Paul puts it in one place, it removes the transcript against us.

And this is what the devil has done while pretending to be a gospel preacher. He has convinced people without knowledge, or people with faulted knowledge in scripture, that when Paul speaks that the moral laws cannot save or that the sacrificial laws are done away with, it means we are free to change God’s moral law and brake it. We can change God’s laws if we desire. Keep the sabbath day on the day we choose, determine after modern standard what fornication and idolatry are, and so on. All depending on what we feel like. In this way, Satan tricks us to continue our opposition towards God’s kingdom without feeling the need for atonement.

This is the biggest lie and deception to hit Christian societies. It paved the way for the man of sin, for mankind to sit in God’s place and judge according to their own laws in God’s name.

God had another set of laws. The sabbath law was part of the main moral law but it was also placed together with the laws of assembly. It belonged to two places. God’s holy times were «times of gathering». It wasn’t called the Jewish gathering. In Leviticus 23 God says they belong to Him:

«Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are MY FEASTS.» (Lev 23:2) 

The word «feast» is a poor English word for what God is really saying. The word «feast» is from the Hebrew mô‛êd which means an appointment in time, an assembly, a gathering. And so God really says: «…even these are MY [God’s] GATHERINGS/ASSEMBLY». 

God’s gathering is not in a church building like we are used to thinking today. God’s system is more advanced than that. God’s gathering, place of worship is in a house built by walls of time, not a physical house. Just like the Spirit cannot be seen but felt, just like angels are as spirits yet work miracles for mankind. So is God’s place of worship not made with bricks and wood. The church is His people, it’s worshippers gathered in a space of holy time. That is why we worship God when we show up for His assembly. And we commit idolatry when we brake it to keep holy times made by man in its stead. If mankind had only understood that God’s assembly is a building of time they would not so easily have been misguided. But mankind keeps looking for the things seen just like they made statues of God and idols, sought an earthly king rejecting the invisible King. So they look to God’s assembly in physical buildings thinking walls of wood and stone make a house holy missing out on the real worship-assembly built with bricks of time.

That is why when the devil wants to destroy God’s assembly he attacks God’s times, for he knows all of this having once been part of God’s kingdom. God exposes him:

«For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation* (*har mô‛êd )” Isa 14:13 

“Har-Moed”. Har means mountain and a mountain in the Bible is a symbol of a kingdom. MOED is God’s word for His times, His assembly. And in Revelation when it says ARMAGEDDON it is really from the Hebrew HAR -MOED the same as in Isaiah 14:13.

 And again speaking of God’s enemy among man God says he attacks God’s assembly in time:

«And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws» (Dan 7:25)

God’s enemy attacks God’s times because they are God’s assembly, where He gathers His people to Himself to sanctify them. «Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them” (Eze 20:12)

Most Christians don’t understand at all why changing God’s time and the law is a problem because they are ignorant of the significance of God’s times in God’s kingdom. They don’t understand how God’s world works.

God’s times were connected to wherever God’s ministry was at the time, they are connected to God Himself. Their holiness comes from their connection to God who is the Only Holy. God was the only one who can make anything holy. When humans make days “holy” they do something they don’t have the authority to do. If a man is not holy they cannot make holy times. That is why in the sabbath commandment God says His right to make this law is tied to His identity. God’s assembly was not tied to one single physical location. God’s times were kept in Egypt, at Sinai, by the Jordan river, in Shiloh and Jerusalem. When God had His ministry in Jerusalem they were told to gather there. But when God had His ministry in Shiloh they had to gather there.

The gathering laws were worship laws, it showed us how to worship God and let Him sanctify us. When you enter a church building you get instruction from the preacher, but when you enter God’s times you get special instruction from the Holy Spirit. It is an assembly of both time and spirit. This is why you need to show up for God’s real sabbath and not the sabbath changed by man. For if you don’t show up on God’s assembly you will lose the blessing connected to it. For instance, the priest in the shadowy sanctuary on earth was told by God to renew the showbread every Sabbath. Bread in the Bible is a symbol of both Christ and God’s word. In Christ’s ministry in heaven, as a priest, part of His ministry according to the shadowy type is to renew His spirit and word to His people every sabbath.

If a king bids you to come you will fill honored and go with joy. And these gatherings were made to unify God’s people with the temple in heaven. 

Once it was tying Israel to the earthly temple were the shekinah was. Here they were specially instructed and educated. Now as the temple service of Christ is moved to heaven, God’s gatherings are connected directly to the temple in heaven and Christ priestly ministry there.

Times of gatherings are by many perceived to be sacrificial laws as sacrifices were made on these days as well as every other day that were not feasts. But God did not call them ceremonial laws, He said: This is my assembly, my MOED. So God categorized them in their own category.

Before they could only attend God’s gatherings by the blood of animals as God’s gathering is holy and sin should be atoned before participating. So most feast’s started with sacrificing and then continuous sacrifices. These sacrificial laws are again shadowy types to tell us the truth about God’s assembly. It cannot be entered into without blood. In the new covenant, Christ’s blood takes that role. It’s through His atonement we are granted access to God’s gatherings. The gatherings remain, but the sacrifice, the blood is changed to the only one that really could atone. Christ blood. This means that jews that now reject Christ’s blood, although keeping God’s feasts, they are denied access to God’s assembly because they don’t have the sacrificial blood required to enter the time-gathering. You are not part of God’s assembly unless you are connected to the temple. And so to keep God’s feasts correctly today you have to be connected to the temple in heaven and Christ ministry. One example of this move of where the time-assembly where to be connected is in the New Testament. Although jews from all over came to celebrate God’s gathering called the feast of weeks, the blessing of communion with God was given only to the jews keeping the feast in connection to Christ priestly ministry in heaven. The apostles were blessed with the empowerment of the holy spirit on this day, while their faces were tied to the temple in heaven and the blessing was not given the other jews seeking salvation in the earthly temple in Jerusalem. Jesus forewarned of this change:

“Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. ..But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth

Joh 4:20-21 & 23.

And so God shows through both the shadowy types and the new testament that Gods’ assembly has a chosen time, but also needs the atoning blood. That is why in revelation God’s end-time people are described as both having been sanctified (atoned for), and having the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Rev.14:12). Without Jesus, there is no salvation, no sanctification, the law alone saves no one. No jew will be saved without the blood of the new covenant no matter how many laws they try to keep or break. There is no true salvation, no real gathering, no assembly with heaven even on the correct times, without the blood of Christ.

God’s gatherings do not compete with the cross, they like the moral laws, direct people TO THE cross. It tells people that only by passing by the cross, by being covered in Christ blood will you have preeminence in the courts of heaven and communion with God. You are not invited to God’s assembly without the blood of the only acceptable sacrifice to atone for your sins. This is the message of both the type and the antitype. The blood is what grants you to enter God’s time assembly and communion with God.

The false gospel of Satan has diminished or changed all these gatherings. It has changed the sabbath commandment (from Saturday to Sunday) and removed or changed the other times of assembly (Passover and Pentecost is moved and the 7th-month feasts removed and replaced with other solar feasts). And it’s offered atonement through church rituals and church instituted laws. 

If anyone is in doubt on what laws are removed in the new covenant the angel Gabriel himself reveals to us exactly what laws competed with the cross and cease:

«And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Dan 9:27). 

The devil knows this verse exposes his lies and in an attempt to make Christian violate the moral laws, he created the false interpretation of prophecy that this verse regarding “sacrifice… to cease” is not speaking about Christ first coming but the end time. This deception is so solid that most evangelicals are convinced the truth is what it is and they cannot be persuaded otherwise.

And because of this, they don’t show up for God’s gatherings connected with the King in heaven, they violate and change God’s laws and they do it all in Christ’s name. And the devil rejoices.

The devil’s main plot was to steal God’s people away to his own gatherings and his own twisted gospel. A gospel very much like the one he first deceived Eve with in the Garden. That you can freely break God’s laws without consequence. There you can be your own God and judge, meaning you or mankind can make your own religious laws.

For every scripture in the Bible that exposes his lies, he has created an alternative explanation.

This is why evangelicals and many Christians look for antichrist in the future and don’t see the spirit of the antichrist has been working for hundreds of years.

This is what the whole end-time conflict is really about. Christ trying to gather His people and Satan trying to scatter them in Christ’s name. A false Christ, a false gospel, and false Christian leaders.

This is the false Christ Jesus warned us against.

The devil divided the prophecy of 70 weeks and claimed the last week would be fulfilled in the end times. But there will be no new temple, no physical antichrist to sit in it. There is not one salvation for Jews and another for Christians, there is no pre-tribulation rapture for Christians and no extended probation is given jews after “the rapture”. These are all a part of the devil’s lies. He has distorted God’s words and the prophecies so he can deceive as many as possible. And all these lies were preached and taught to people who didn’t show up for God’s assembly, but for the counterfeit assembly. This is where these interpretations of Bible prophecy were created. It’s from this counterfeit assembly these teachings come from. They are not the “shewbread” from Christ. It’s counterfeit bread. And many who has been in these assemblies have been misguided in the prophecies and taught to read Bible verses in conflict with God’s end-time warnings.

 It’s all done to cover up the real issue and the real truth, the real spirit of Antichrist, the false gospel. How do you know what is the devil quoting scripture and what is of God’s spirit? What “church” are they in, the assembly of God, or the assembly created by man in God’s name? The Bible says:

«To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them”  

Isaiah 8:20

John said: «He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.»

1. John 2:4-5

  In the Greek language the word for LAW is ‘NOMOS’. If you were in opposition to the law, or without it, it was called: áNOMOS or áNOMIa

In the new testament it’s recorded that Jesus gave the following warning to His people:

«Jesus said: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work áNOMIa’ ” .

Matthew 7:21-2

Although in most English bibles translated to ‘iniquity’, Jesus is referring to the rejection of God’s law. Jesus talks about people that call Him Lord, who are claimed Christians but reject God’s law at the same time. 

Jesus said:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven” . 

Matthew 5:17-19

Till ALL be fulfilled, meaning not just the cross, but all of the law and the prophets. The prophecy from both the law and the prophets continues to Christ second coming and even the new earth. A lot of it is still unfulfilled, and Christ is fulfilling part of it now as a priest in heaven. As long as sin exists, as long as God’s kingdom is yet to be restored, no title shall pass from the law.

This is what Peter wrote about Paul’s letters. If you are not learned in God’s sacrificial system, His plan of atonement shown in the pattern given on earth, you will misunderstand or misinterpret Pauls words into something against God’s law when in fact Paul only tries to place the laws in their correct context, showing that the moral law cannot save, neither can the sacrificial laws, that “the moon had no light in itself” only the blood of Christ can atone your sins and bring you in union with God. 

But as in the shadowy types, bringing an atonement did not remove the law, rather it fulfilled the requirements of the law. The moral law was confirmed and respected, not abolished.

And if we have broken it, there is only one place the law points us to, having no remedy or mercy to offer itself, it points us to our only solution to the problem: Christ atoning sacrifice.

That is what God taught us in the sanctuary system, and this is what Paul tried to teach people in his letters over and over again.

Is the law only for Israel? Even if you are of heathen origin you are of Israel, you are part of Israel when you convert to God through Christ. Just like Ruth, Rahab and Tamar were grafted in and became part of the ancestry line of both King David and Christ so are you if you are faithful. You become part of that tree, the wine of Israel. You are grafted into Israel when you follow God. And those of Israel of the flesh that don’t want to listen to God is broken off. God has only one tree that we are either grafted into or broken off from. (Rom 11: 16-24) That tree is called Israel.

“Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed”. 

Romans 9:6-8 

Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Luke 3:8 

There is only one church, one way, one salvation, one spirit, and one baptism.

The jews are not given the last week, seven years, at the end of time to convert. This last week of probation lasted at Christ first coming. Daniel 9 is speaking of Christ first coming.

It is time to leave the apostate churches who carries Christ’s name while violating God’s law and join God’s assembly.
Pray to God for guidance and strength today. And be warned, the moment you join God’s true assembly you will become the devil’s target.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. 

Rev 12:17 

And people will persecute you in Christ name:

But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. 

Joh 15:21 

But all of God’s promises will stand. He will fight for you.
